Inexpensive Valentines?

So I started school today! I had my anatomy class at 7:10am so I woke up at 5:30am. Ugh! Valentines is approaching and I'm still unemployed. It looks like no one is hiring here in LA but oh well I won't let that ruin my feb. 14. It would have been nice to take my girlfriend to a nice restaurant for dinner or get her that huge stuffed bear she always wanted. Luckily I have those rare kind of girlfriends that with a simple "I love you" would make her day. She deserves much more than that so I came up with some ideas on how to have an inexpensive valentines and still show your loves ones how much they mean to you. When she comes over I going to prepare her favorite meal, chicken sandwich with some fresh cheese on the side (seriously) and add a bottle of a wine to the mix. After draw a hot bath filled with rose petals and have a glass of wine and some chocolates to nibble on by the side of the bathtub. If you have any more ideas let me know I'm open to anything!

  1. Instead on an expensive restaurant dinner, I am buying an nice bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne and having a late afternoon picnic. Sounds lame, but she will love it.

  3. Offer her a massage, be it back, foot, or full body. Learn some tricks if you can via the internet.

  4. You could also try cutting the sandwiches and all into hearts, corny, but possibly effective.

  6. Yeah i know how you feel. No job here either and valentine aproaching. But my girlfriend wouldn't accept any gifts i'd buy for her anyway. Unless its just of emotional value. And your idea sounds awesome. Im sure she'll love that. Maybe some horror/romantic movie to cuddle up on the couch with?

  7. Cooking for your GF is always a hit with them. I try to do it at least once a week. Show them that you still care.

  8. Sing the song Just the Way You Are. Sounds cliche, but works every time.

  9. I posted a bunch of ideas on my blog earlier today, check it out.

Another idea would be to find an obscure poem online, and take credit for it. Make sure it's not a mainstream one that she will recognize.

  17. Remember the music, can't forget some nice romantic music to spice up the evening, other than that i think you pretty much captured the essence of valentine's day....a day to be with the one you love

  19. You could try making a nice dinner at home? If you in one of the areas that is currently covered in snow, you can rent a nice movie and curl up by the fire with some hot chocolate. Don't let the unemployment ruin it, just think of it as more time to spend with her
